WHY CAN WE EXTEND THIS SERVICE TO YOU?

 

Because we use a NON-TEARABLE underlayment on your roof. Most other underlayments tear when being installed, or tear when material is loaded on to your roof. Those underlayment tears cause leaks. Additionally, we offer a foam adhesion for your tile which reduces the number of penetrations (holes) in your roof. If your roof has a non-tearable underlayment, and few holes, we gladly warranty your roof!!

RESIDENTIAL ROOF REPLACEMENT OPTIONS

Tile-

  1. The least expensive option is known as HOT-MOP (30lb/90lb underlayment) with screwed down tiles. Storm Shield has completed hundreds of these roofs successfully and some roofers believe this is the best roof available because they lack the experience and or confidence using better materials. If you are trying to save money, this is your best option.
  2. This option involves a product known as “Peel and Stick.” Peel and stick (underlayment), products earned a bad reputation when they first arrived in the industry. A few roofers used peel and stick, and many of the roofers had many leaks. Some of the first peel and stick roofs had to be completely re-roofed. Since then, peel and stick products have come a long way and the latest peel and stick roofs are superior to Hot-Mopped roofs. If you purchase a NON-TEARABLE peel and stick product, you will pay more for materials. You will then have the option of screwing or FOAMING (foamed tiles have a better uplift threshold than screws) the tiles to the peel and stick underlayment.
  3. The most expensive roof and the best roof by far is a NON-TEARABLE peel and stick material with foam (about 80% less holes will be needed to install your roof). No holes equates to no leaks. We have installed hundreds of these roofs and gladly warranty this roof system. If you own your home and plan to live in your home for a while, or you have another need to keep your house dry, this is your best option. This is the ONLY type of roof that Storm Shield installs.
